I've been watching a few episodes of Alpha House Season 2 and I have to say after a few reservations I'm really enjoying it. I wasn't sure there was much mileage in the saying Republicans be crazy (and hypocrites as well).
However the second season do a good job of showing the problems of the system and allowing the characters to have principles, flaws, needs and simple bad luck. The writing also sharpens up with the gaffes and witticisms getting to the Trudeau standard.
Scandal is perhaps the most nihilistic modern TV show I've ever watched. Literally everything is shit in its vision of the world, from human relationships to the American experiment with a republic.
Even more depressing two powerful and intelligent women can think of nothing more worthy of their attention than keeping an ineffective, morally and intellectually empty man in office so that another powerful and intelligent woman doesn't get the position.
Don't they watch the Good Wife?!
I started watching Amazon Prime's Vikings and the show opens with a very gory melee. I was thinking that it was rather than like a horror film but then I thought that it was closer to the level of gore in Game of Thrones.
I think its pretty clear that standards have changed in adult-orientated streaming television. Except for penises obviously, they're never acceptable, even when they've been cut off.
