It occurred to me that perhaps music grades and diplomas in the UK are mapped to the QCF too and sure enough they are:

  • QCF Level 1 = Grades 1, 2, 3
  • QCF Level 2 = Grades 4, 5
  • QCF Level 3 = Grades 6, 7, 8
  • QCF Level 4 = AMus
  • QCF Level 6 = LMus
  • QCF Level 7 = FMus

For the diplomas, this fits with my earlier assumptions mentioned above.
