So this season was definitely all kinds of ropey and while it had some great storylines and episodes it didn't feel like it real stood up as a season in its own right. It spend ages linking through from last season and lots of time looking forward to the next.
I love the idea of Tyrion, Grey Worm, Melinda and Varus running Marina. However my anticipation for that story left me feeling like I didn't really much for the rest.
Also by only really indicating that Jon Snow was dead (and that with a resurrecting priestess close to hand) and fast-cutting Sansa and Stannis there wasn't really any resolution but just a succession of cliffhangers for next year.
