The previous equations set up a uniform grid, but there's no reason not to make τ dependent on m, mg, mgb, and mgbs.

So we end up with something like:

Tm = τm(m - 1)

Tmg = τmg(g - 1)

Tmgb = τmgb(b - 1)

Tmgbs = τmgbs(s - 1)
