One of my cards is now yellow, I actually have no idea why. Maybe I will find out eventually.

The yellow card thing confused me a lot for a while.  

Seems that it's the highlighted card you land on, when clicking through from another page.

Felt obvious in hindsight, but took me longer than I'd like to admit to work out.
